If you have the old IN_WM.DLL, all you have to do is...

Open WinAMP, hold Ctrl and press P, go to the Output Plug-ins section, select Nullsoft Disk Writer, click Configure, choose an output directory and set the format to 44kHz, 16-bit, stereo, click OK, OK, Close, and load and play the file. There should be no sound when it plays. Then switch the output plug-in back to WaveOut or directsound. You'll find the WAV in the folder you specified as Output Directory.
