LG GDR-8162B RPC1 and Auto Reset Firmware
An RPC1 firmware defeats the internal counters within the drive and
removes region enforcement. This only is HALF of the equation. You
need to use DVD Genie or similar software to control your player
software.
An Auto Reset firmware is an RPC2 firmware that returns to no region
and five remaining changes each time the drive is restarted. No
additional software is required, run out of changes, just reboot.
These firmwares have been tested. There appear to be different OEM versions.
The flashers should not allow you to flash onto a drive with a different
OEM designation. There is no longer an issue with SST flash chips, the new
flasher can handle chips from SST, MXIC and ATMEL.

If you have a different firmware you should contact us first.
Flashing these firmwares requires some risk on your part. If you are not
comfortable with this please do not proceed. We cannot guarantee they will
work or flash correctly in any environment out of our control.
The update requires Real DOS, a DOS box under Windows is not suitable.
The Windows flasher has been removed because of reported issues.
The RPC1 and Auto Reset firmware are in there own executable, pick whichever
ONE you wish to use. The executables are self contained flashers with firmware,
no additional flashing software is required.
