How to install an .icc colour profile in Windows 10.
1/ Please ensure you have downloaded the correct colour profile for your display.
You can locate your display model from its ‘Hardware ID’ as follows:
Right click on the start icon and select Control Panel & gt; System & gt; Device Manager
*Alternatively search for ‘Device Manager’ in the search box.
Find the ‘Monitors’ icon about half way down the list of components and expand. Then right click on the ‘Generic PnP Monitor’ listed and click ‘Properties’.
Click on the ‘Details’ tab and in the first drop down titled ‘Property’ select ‘Hardware IDs’. In the ‘Value’ box below your display model number will be listed.
Please find below a list of Hardware IDs and their corresponding Manufacturer’s product name. Please note if your display is not listed then unfortunately we are
unable to provide a customised profile.

2/ Extract the .icc profiles from the downloaded .zip file into c:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color
3/ Right click and select ‘install profile’ for each of your new .icc profiles:
4/ Open ‘Colour Management’ in Control Panel:
5/ Ensure the monitor you wish to apply the profile to is selected in the drop down box next to ‘Device:’. Then tick ‘Use my settings for this device’. Once done click
on the ‘Add’ button.
6/ Select each new profile in turn and click on ‘OK’. Each new profile will then be listed in the ‘Profiles associated with this device’ box and ready to use.
7/ Before activating a profile it is also necessary to enable the gamma correction elements of the ICC profile. To do this click on the ‘Advanced’ tab, followed by the
‘Change system defaults..’ button at the bottom left of the Window:
8/ A new window will open.. Please click on the ‘Advanced’ tab and then click the tick box next to ‘Use Windows display calibration’. Once done, close the window.
9/ The final step is to set your new profile as default, this enables the profile. As soon as you select the profile and click on ‘Set as Default Profile’ the profile becomes
active and you will immediately notice the colour changes on your monitor. You can easily switch between profiles simply by selecting a profile in the ‘Profiles
associated with this device’ box, and then click on ‘Set as Default Profile’. Please note the ‘sRGB IEC61966-2.1’ profile is the Windows default.
